Hi there! I’m Matthew (Matt) Magee, a happily married father to two great boys, a pastor and biblical counselor. God made me to equip Christians to realize their purpose to care for others in biblical community through God’s sufficient, transforming Word!
I have been married to Cherilyn since 2005! She is my best friend and greatest partner in life and ministry. We have been blessed with two incredible boys that we love raising in the fear and admonition of the Lord. They bring so much joy and energy to our lives, making this life with them so much fun.
God has blessed me abundantly by calling me to serve the local church. Pastoral ministry is an audacious calling—an un-accomplishable task and remarkable privilege we are accountable to trust the Lord in while serving faithfully. Within this calling I have a passion for developing leaders by studying the Word to teach and preach (the “air war” of discipleship), and ministering the Word in one-on-one or small group relationships through discipleship and biblical counseling (the “ground war” of discipleship).
Next to loving and leading my family, serving the local church pastorally is my greatest passion, and I have benefited greatly from through long-term relationships that have sharpened my walk with Christ! I have appreciated the joys and challenges of a variety of ministries and contexts, and each has revealed strengths and flaws which God has used to develop my character and deepen my love for Christ.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Biblical Studies from The Moody Bible Institute1MoodyBible.org, an MDiv in Christian Ministry with The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary2SBTS.edu, and am pursuing a ThM in Practical Theology and DMin in Biblical Counseling through Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary3MBTS.edu.
